To get to Mount Apo, travel to Sta. Cruz Tourism Office from the hotel, about 55km away from the hotel. From there, you may get your permit and hire a guide. You will start your trek from the trailhead in Barirung.
About 20 minutes away, Davao Crocodile Park serves as a public viewing area, a venue for educational tours, a conservation facility and a field laboratory for students and wildlife enthusiasts. Visit to see some incredible beasts; besides crocodiles, there are raptors, monkeys, bearcats, snakes, birds and lots of other wildlife.

Next to the Museo Dabawenyo is this museum with over 300 specimens from all over the world. It houses one of the biggest bone exhibitions in the country. The museum is the first of its kind in Mindanao and offers the chance to learn about animal conservation.

Dubbed the "Queen of Filipino Orchids", The Waling-Waling was discovered on Mount Apo in 1882 by European horticulturist Henry Frederic Sander. Built in 1847 by Don Jose Uyanguren during Spanish rule, the San Pedro Cathedral is the oldest church in Davao City and is located around 8km away from the hotel. An icon of the city, it is considered one of the most spectacular religious structures built during the Spanish colonisation. Named after San Pedro (or Saint Peter), the city's patron saint, the church survived two bombings in the 1990s.

Spanning more than eight hectares of woodlands, the Philippine Eagle Centre is a breeding facility for the endangered raptors that can be found here on the island. Visit to get a glimpse of some of the largest and most powerful eagles in the world. In addition to the eagles, the facility also takes care of other types of rare birds and reptiles, some of which are endemic to the country.
